Regulations
Art. 1 – Overview
The "Golden Soloist Award" is an international music competition open to musicians of all nationalities and ages, across the following categories: Piano, Strings, Winds, Guitar, and Voice. The winner in each category will be invited to perform at the Vienna Musikverein (Glass Hall) on May 12, 2025.
The goal of the Golden Soloist Award is to discover musicians with a strong artistic personality and provide an opportunity to debut in one of the most renowned concert halls in the world.
Art. 2 – Audition Process
The auditions will be held online and are divided into five categories, with no age limit:
- PIANO
- STRINGS
- WINDS
- GUITAR
- VOICE
The audition process consists of two phases: Pre-selection and Finals.
- Pre-selection:
Competitors must submit a recording of their performance that clearly demonstrates their artistic abilities, with a maximum length of 15 minutes. Voice candidates must submit two arias.
- Finals:
The jury will select 20 finalists per category, who will be required to submit a new recording of up to 40 minutes. Voice finalists must submit four arias.
All recordings must be uploaded to YouTube. The video should be recorded with a single camera, with no edits, and the performer’s body must be clearly visible in the frame. The sound must be clear and free of background noise.
Art. 3 – Registration
To register, competitors must complete the online application form available here and submit the following documents by January 31, 2025:
- A YouTube link to the video recording
- A short biography
- Proof of payment of the application fee (150 EUR) on the bank account:

The finalists will be announced on March 1, 2025, on the "Italian Opera Florence" website. Finalists are required to submit their final recordings by March 31, 2025.
The winners will be announced on the same website on April 15, 2025.
Art. 4 – Jury
The jury is composed of the following members:
Piano: Maurizio Baglini, Roberto Corlianò, Luigi Borzillo, David Boldrini
Strings: Martina Lopez, Giuseppe Russo Rossi, Michalina Radzińska, Agnese Ferraro
Winds: Andrea Manco, Domenico Calia, Lisa Bini
Guitar: Giulio Tampalini, Giovanni Podera, Pietro Locatto
Voice: Susanna Rigacci, Olivera Mercurio, Micheal Alfonsi, Massimo Iannone
Artistic Direction: David Boldrini, Luigi Borzillo.
By entering the competition, participants acknowledge and accept the authority of the jury, whose decisions are final and binding. The jury reserves the right to award ex aequo (shared) prizes.
Art. 5 – Prizes
The jury will award the following prizes in each category:
100/100: 1st Absolute Prize
90-99: 1st Prize
80-89: 2nd Prize
70-79: 3rd Prize
The winners of the 1st Absolute Prize (100/100) in each of the five categories (Piano, Strings, Winds, Guitar, Voice) will be invited to perform at the Winner's Gala at the Vienna Musikverein (Glass Hall) on May 12, 2025 and the overall winner of the competition will be awarded a prize of 2000€.
Art. 6 – Liability and Miscellaneous
The organization is not responsible for any issues related to the applicant’s availability or the accuracy of the information provided in the application form. The application fee is non-refundable, and submitted materials will not be returned.
Winners are responsible for their own travel expenses to Vienna. By registering, competitors accept these regulations and acknowledge that the Artistic Direction reserves the right to make changes to the competition as necessary.
